Last week the National Council released the designs for the 2010 centennial rank badges. The badges will have a special design that will say 2010 and the rank name around the top of the badge. These badges should be available in scout shops in the beginning of February (right now!). These versions of the badges will only be available during 2010. For me this is another incentive to get my life and eagle ranks earned during 2010. Thanks to Dan from http://scoutingnews.org for letting me know that like all awards for advancement they are a restricted item and can only be purchased through your local scout shop with the proper paperwork.
Thanks to Dan from Scouting News for first anouncing this, you can read the article on scouting news here: http://www.scoutingnews.org/2010/01/27/2010-centennial-rank/.
Also you can view the Design PDF here: http://www.scoutingnews.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/2010_Centennial_Rank_Advancement_Badges.pdf

The badges are now shown on ScoutStuff.org, with a message stating “This is a restricted item. Available only in your local council trading post or Scout Shop with required paperwork.”

Thanks for the info Dan, I have updated the post to reflect that.
Nice idea, but they are way ugly.
