For many troops summer camp is the highlight of the yearly program. For my troop summer camp is very important event for us, and we make very effort to have a great time. Now most troops have their “home” camp, the summer camp they’ve attended since the dawn of time, or maybe longer and my troop is no different.
Our troop has attended a camp deep in the Adirondack park named Cedarlands Scout Reservation. Cedarlands Scout Reservation is owned and operated by the Revolutionary Trails Council and is a beautiful camp to spend a week at. Cedarlands is a patrol-style camp so we cook all of our meals ourselves. While that isn’t great for everyone it works great for our troop.
